The Business Solutions team focuses on the sales, implementation and support of Microsoft Dynamics GP and Sage PFW ERP. These solutions are designed to help mid-sized organizations optimize work flows, provide access to timely and relevant information, reduce end user training time and make the organizations more efficient and profitable. Our team of certified consultants has years of experience mapping client requirements to system implementations and results.

Formerly known as Great Plains, Microsoft Dynamics GP has one of the largest install and partner bases in the world. This product is designed to meet the needs of various organizational types and sizes. Our team has developed strong experience and expertise in the Healthcare Practices, Human Service Organizations and Discrete Manufacturing. The following items are examples of projects that we have successfully completed with clients:

• 60 User Microsoft Dynamics GP implementation for a multi-site provider of residential and therapeutic programs throughout Pennsylvania for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This project included core financials, advanced payroll/human resources (2,700 employees), multiple integrations and advanced security setup/controls.
• 35 User Microsoft Dynamics GP implementation for a multi-state provider of urgent care facilities and services. This project included core financials, advanced payroll/human resources (1,700 employees), multiple integrations and advanced security setup/controls, custom reporting, and MICR check printing.
• 15 User Microsoft Dynamics GP and WennSoft implementation for a custom manufacturing and distribution company servicing the needs of the mining and transportation industries. This project included core financials, distribution and job cost solutions.

Sage PFW ERP has been developed, enhanced and optimized to meet the unique requirements of the process manufacturing industry. Sage PFW ERP features a robust and seamless suite of applications that provide the most comprehensive process manufacturing solution available for mid-market companies. Capabilities include material requirements planning (MRP) purchasing, inventory, lab analysis, formulating, costing, production, quality control, government compliance, sales order entry, bills of lading and a full range of integrated financial applications. The following items are examples of projects that we have successfully completed with clients:

• 15 User Sage PFW implementation for a New Jersey based chemical handling and processing company that a offers full-range custom chemical blending, packaging and distribution services of inorganic chemicals, mineral acids, bases, and oxidizers. This project included the core financials, distribution, formulas, production and MSDS functions.
• 10 User Sage PFW implementation for a West Virginia based company serving a variety of distinct markets. From Contract Packaging of Aerosols and Liquids to Specialty Plastics Coatings they provide the industry with quality chemicals and aerosols. This project included the core financials, distribution, formulas, production and custom a dashboard to provide real-time data to end users and stakeholders.

Managed IT Services

The first step in understanding how to evaluate, implement and manage the IT systems for an organization is to understand where you expect to end up. Many organization struggle with this function because they either don't have the time or expertise to define the plan and the outcomes they expect for their IT systems. Our cross functional team of consultants, CPA's, MBA's and technology specialist have the experience and understanding to assist clients through this process. The following are examples of projects we have assisted clients with:

• Assist a Pittsburgh based Dermatopathology Laboratory with the design, implementation, testing and monitoring of a complete Back and Disaster Recovery solution. The project included the implementation of our VCare Backup and Disaster Recovery solution, a detailed offsite backup and disaster recovery plan, testing and monitoring of the solution.
• Assist a Pittsburgh based law firm with a requirements analysis of their IT needs, budget and priorities. Following the presentation of the report Vertical Solutions assisted the IT department with the implementation of the projects based on the agreed upon priorities and budget.
